Three members of law enforcement perished and more than a dozen additional individuals sustained injuries in an apparently premeditated detonation from gas at a rural property in the northern part of Italy.

The explosion was triggered as law enforcement and fire personnel entered the property in the vicinity of the city of Verona to execute an court-ordered eviction for a brother and sister trio in their late 50s and mid-60s.
