Palestinian-American Adolescent Liberated After Nine-Month Period in Israel's Detention

An American-Palestinian adolescent having endured 270 days in Israeli detention absent formal charges has been freed.
Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 during his detention in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting from his Florida home under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, which he previously denied.
The US state department expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.
They said he is pale, underweight, while battling health issues developed during imprisonment.
Through an official statement, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "immense relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.
"Currently, our priority is providing Mohammed with prompt healthcare he needs after being subjected to Israel's abuse and inhumane conditions throughout his detention."
American authorities announced ongoing to extend consular services for the Ibrahim family.

A group of American legislators endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and the White House, urging greater action to secure his release.
Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children managing a frozen treats business from Florida, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations to throwing stones due to physical abuse.
The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed since February, learning information solely regarding the treatment through judicial records.
The teenager remained absent formal charges in Ofer prison on the West Bank.
It is also home to grown detainees, featuring prisoners sentenced regarding severe security violations and homicide.
An estimated 350 Palestinian minors in security custody detained within Israeli facilities, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
