Top-ranked Sabalenka Secures Consecutive WTA Top Player Honors.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player concluded the season with an notable 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight season.

The 27-year-old captured four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – which included successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles title.

A Season of High Performance

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka played in a tour-best nine finals, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the whole season as the world number one, ending 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Record-Breaking Statistics

Sabalenka concluded the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and earned a record £11m in earnings.

She received nearly 80% of the votes cast by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a greater prominence".
