Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began passing more hours together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the production, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without joy".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate issued a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the deaths, public figures offered divergent comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive statements that were broadly criticized by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the detractors last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan characterized the comments as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an aide could have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
